6. Yummy Squares
This is a post near and dear to my heart. The recipe is from my Grandmother and so simple--only 4 ingredients! We like to make these for friends and family during the holidays. And maybe in between for us as well.
I love me a furniture re-do and I especially love making over stuff for friends and family. This little end table was super fun and went through quite a transformation. Click on the link to see the before! I love the metallic stripes, this was such a fun project! I'm itching for another one....itching....
4. Stenciled Canvas Pillows
Pair a couple of my favorite things together - paint and canvas - and you end up with these awesome stenciled pillows (stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils). I love the pattern and the fact that they were made with a canvas drop cloth (which also made about a dozen other projects...check some out here, here and here), was an added bonus as well.
3. End of Year Teacher Frames
Every year I wait until the last second to get a teacher gift together for the wonderful people who have taught my children all year long. I don't know why I do this...I think I might be losing my mind a bit...but, this year was a fun gift with this wonderful quote and fun spray paint colors. A win-win.
2. Tree Bookshelf
I like to feature not only my own projects but my talented family's as well. My brother is a contractor and made this tree bookshelf for his daughter's room. I LOVE this and wish he lived about 1,000 miles closer to build one for my house. I think it would be worth a trip for him to come up here just for this....!
1. How to Hem Pants with the Original Hem
And finally, I am pretty shocked to see that this post has already hit almost 10,000 views! I've been hemming my pants with this little method for a long time now and am so happy to spread the helpful tip around!
There you have it! The top posts of 2012. What a fun year! I'm excited to see what's in store this year as well. I hope you are, too! What are your favorites from last year?
