Garage Door Chalk Paint

Do you guys have finished garages? Are they beautiful and could you host parties in them and not be embarrassed?

Well, I envy you.

We have a very functional garage. Meaning it's not painted and holds various garage-y things like lawn mowers, old pots, dirty bikes, snow shovels, yard care tools, work benches, paint, etc.

It's not a pretty sight.

So, I decided to do something about that. I spray painted my door to the house with chalkboard paint and then painted the trim a fresh coat of white.

Not only does it spruce things up a bit, but it adds to the functionality of the garage....

 I like it!

Right now I'm looking for a kick plate for little feet to kick the door open and new knob hardware (this knob is not only old brass, but it's broken as well).

Now, onto my master plan for the other side of the door.....stay tuned!

  1. I love this idea...I didn't even know chalk board paint was available in spray. I may have to come up with a project to try it out now...thanks for the inspiration.

  2. This is such a cool idea! I'm sure my daughter would really love it! I'm a new from Mom's Monday Mingle

I would love to hear from you!
