EBTKS Link Party & Features & A Different Direction

Hey all! Time for another link party. I had so much fun checking out your projects last week. So many fun ideas and I wanted to copy them all! That's the point of the link party, though, right? I hope you guys had as much fun as I did.

I've been thinking lately, about this blog and the direction it's going. I'm not really happy with some of the things that have been happening here. With the new addition to my little brood, my crafting time has reduced dramatically so I'm only able to post 1-2 homemade projects a week, if I'm lucky. I don't like leaving you guys with no content for so long so I've compromised content just to have things to post. Now, some of this content is stuff I actually find interesting. But, some of it is just to fill space. And I am not going to do that any longer.

So, I will fulfill the rest of my commitments to certain articles and then there may be weeks when you will only see maybe 2 or 3 posts. Then, there may be weeks when you see 5-7 posts. I hope you will stay with me while we weather the ups and downs of real life and blog-life together.

Also, I am lining up some fun giveaways for the holiday season and I really hope you will stick around for those!

Ok, on to the most clicked on links from last week, and some of my favorites...

Check out Carla's Cards for this decorated cigar box and her touching cancer story. Good luck, Carla! We're so glad you're on the mend!

Rooted in Thyme gives some creative tips for a vintage Halloween. Very cute!

Sew Fantastic shows us how to make a blah dress poofy and amazing with her petticoat tutorial. I know my girls would love this for their dresses!

Check out this awesome vintage button display from Smart Girl Style! I love this for a nursery, so dang cute!

House Capades shows us her awesome fan makeover. I love the stained wood and really, really need to do this with my ceiling fan.

*Be sure to grab a featured button of the sidebar!

Now, on to the party! Be sure to link your projects up and comment! Thanks for joining everyone!

  1. Thanks so much for the party!
Will be back later to check out other links - love your features ( that cigar box is amazing !!!)

  2. I just linked up and wanted to thank you for hosting! Hugs, Penny

  3. Aww, thanks for the feature. Because, really, whose walls DON'T need more button adornment? :) I just linked up for this week. Thank you for hosting!
p.s. I applaud your "family-first" reprioritization. If that's a word. Which, who cares, because you know what I mean. But seriously. I'm proud of you; that's not easy to do in the blogging world, and I will definitely stick it out with you!

  4. I completely understand what you're saying! I'm having a heck of a time and I don't even have the family component to deal with, don't know how you do it AND host this awesome party as well. Kudos to you and if you need to slow down, do it! You are more important than this blog, make sure you take care of you first!!

ps Linky tools says my link is in the collection but I don't see it - ??? Sigh, what a week this has been! :)

    1. DUH! there it is! I think a whole bunch of links went through at the same time as mine. Have a happy weekend!

  5. Fantastic party, thanks for hosting!!!

  6. Thanks for hosting Meg! I've been a lot slower lately too...if readers don't like it, that's tough. Life comes before blogging :)

  7. Thanks so much for the great party Meg!

  8. Thanks for featuring me today! What a great and creative party! I went to the doctor and he says I can wear shoes and dance! I sure plan to!

  9. Thank you for the chance to link up! Have a great weekend! ~Angie @ The Dating Divas

  10. Meg, I too am downsizing my blogs. I completely understand and am trying to use my time better. Hopefully, we both will be more creative. Looking forward to more inspiration from your blog. Thanks so much for featuring my Vintage Halloween Bottles. Wonderful surprise! Have a great weekend.

I would love to hear from you!
