Guest Blogger - My Covered Bridge

Hey everyone! So excited to introduce you to Kristen from My Covered Bridge. She does some amazing knock-offs and has some great talent. Have fun meeting her and also have a wonderful day!

Hi!  I'm Kristen from My Covered Bridge.  I'm really excited to be guest posting here at A Little Knick Knack!  Thanks Meg for having me!  I'm sort of new to this blogging world so let me introduce myself.  I'm a happily married stay-at-home mom of four.  My husband, Craig, and I are completely remodeling and decorating a home we bought six years ago.  I love diving into these projects - and now I'm having so much fun sharing them through my blog!
I've decided to highlight a few of my favorite projects.  I've been working on my daughters' room lately and I was looking for an inexpensive art project.  I decided to fill a free frame with scrapbook paper.  The result was a one of a kind art piece-
You can get step by step instructions here. I recently tried something new - applying silver leaf!  I covered an inexpensive tray that I bought at Salvation Army -
I explained the whole process here.  It was a fun project (so fun in fact, that I covered a wine bottle too!) And last but not least, I transformed a pair of old candlesticks that were sitting in the back of my closet.  I added jute for a more updated look (click here to see the process)-
So there you have it - a little wrap up of my favorite projects!  I hope you come over to My Covered Bridge to see more of my transformations.  You can see how I made my king size headboard for $10, what I have done to update old glass vases, or how I gave new life to an old $8 coffee table. Thanks SO much Meg for having me over here today!  I had a great time!
