Some More Simple Skirts

Well, the new school year is upon us and with the comes the need for some simple skirts! I had so much fun making Dana from MADE's pattern, that I decided to make three more for my daughter.

I realized while I was making this that Dana had this exact fabric in her tutorial. Random, right?

These skirts are so easy to make, if you can sew a straight line, you can make them! Promise!

My daughter said she likes this skirt the best.


I love using wide basting to trim the edges. I think it gives it a much nicer look.

After they were done, we had to have a mini-fashion show!

A little curtsy, if you please.

  1. Isn't it so satisfying to make a simple skirt? They're so quick and easy that you feel really accomplished when you're done. Very relaxing! If you liked that tutorial you may also like the quick & easy no-hem skirt from Hickety Pickety Handmade. It's the same concept but with a wide contrasting fabric at the hem. Just as easy, though. I swear! I made a bunch of them back in May because they were just so fun to make! I included the link for you below:
