Some More Simple Skirts

Well, the new school year is upon us and with the comes the need for some simple skirts! I had so much fun making Dana from MADE's pattern, that I decided to make three more for my daughter.

I realized while I was making this that Dana had this exact fabric in her tutorial. Random, right?

These skirts are so easy to make, if you can sew a straight line, you can make them! Promise!

My daughter said she likes this skirt the best.

I love using wide basting to trim the edges. I think it gives it a much nicer look.

After they were done, we had to have a mini-fashion show!

A little curtsy, if you please.

  1. Isn't it so satisfying to make a simple skirt? They're so quick and easy that you feel really accomplished when you're done. Very relaxing! If you liked that tutorial you may also like the quick & easy no-hem skirt from Hickety Pickety Handmade. It's the same concept but with a wide contrasting fabric at the hem. Just as easy, though. I swear! I made a bunch of them back in May because they were just so fun to make! I included the link for you below:

  2. Cute little skirts. I like your choice of fabrics. I'll have to head on over to MADE for the pattern.

  3. Super cute skirts! So much fun to make clothing items for your own kiddos! So glad you linked up with us at Show & Share!

  4. I love these the fabrics are perfect!!!!P.S>I'm having my very first blog hop today Please stop by and link up your lovely blog.

  5. Very cute and kids love those special hand made treasures!
