Everything but the Kitchen Sink

Happy 4th of July everyone!

We're so excited for this holiday. We're going to be spending it with my family in good ole Texas.

Yee-haw!

Although, this year it might be different because there's a ban on all fireworks!

I know!

What is the 4th without fireworks?? But, it's for a good reason. Fires have been a real concern this year and they are worried all the fireworks will cause more damage.

I get it!

My kids will have many more 4th-of-July's with fireworks, I'm sure. As long as we get to bbq and hang out with my family. That's my favorite part.

That and maybe the watermelon. Yum.

So, my question this week....

What's your favorite part about the 4th of July?

Also, don't forget.....the canvas pillow giveaway ends July 4! I might extend it...we'll see....

Have a great weekend all!

  2. Enjoy your holiday, Meg! Being with family and friends, of course! But when my kids were little I loved watching them see the fireworks. So much fun.

  3. Thanks for hosting Meg. I hope you have lots of fun ( and watermelon). I love that it's a reason to not feel pressure to have a gourmet grill...just good old hot dogs, burgers etc.

  7. Thanks for hosting! No fireworks stinks, but I can see why they'd do that.

  9. We had the opposite up here - fireworks had to be moved and rescheduled due to FLOODING.

One of my favorite parts of this holiday is that paper plates and napkins go on clearance right after the holiday. Time to stock up!
