Moving on.
We're back from our vacation! It was a wonderful 2 weeks but it's nice to be home! We're jumping right back into the thick of things with school, playgroups, doctor's appointments...sheesh. I'm tired already!
Do ya'll remember my little hallway decor?
Well, it fell down. And the key hooks snapped off. I blame my kids, but really, I wasn't there to see how it happened. But still. They're likely culprits.
I decided we needed a little hallway/front door organization revamp.
Here's what I came up with:
The window is an "as-is" Ikea find that I simply turned on its side and screwed in some hooks for our keys.
The shelf I found at GW for a mere $6 and I added the board the big hooks are on and painted it all a nice "sage-tint." I also used some polyacrylic (satin) to protect the finish.
The wreath I just moved from it's original home downstairs. I made this "book wreath" awhile ago, but I still love it. It's the perfect size for this window.
And these three lovely hooks I found at an antique store in my hometown of Amarillo, Texas last year.
I love these hooks.
So, here's my new set up and I must say, I love it! It's great to have more coat storage (these hooks are within my kids reach so hopefully, we'll see less jackets on the floor) and even a shelf for more organization.

Even though I loved the first one, your new organization station takes the cake! Awesome. And it looks like you had fun doing it...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe it wasn't the kids after all..... lol
Looks great! I think a basket for mail would be great. I love baskets for mail! :)
