Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas....

OK, time to share with you some of my household Christmas goodies. Ready for the tour? Come on in!

Let's start outside with our favorite tree...

...This year decorated in fun bright pinks, purples, blues and greens...(all from the $1 spot at Target).

Then we wander up the driveway and check out the lights by the garage....

...decorated with a fun white and silver garland (50% off at Michael's) and some evergreen branches (from my neighbors yard. With permission. Sheesh, people.)

Now let's meander up to the front porch, where I decided to move my glitter trees from indoor to outdoor...
The branches I bought at Target for $5 and the ornaments are from t he $1 store.

Before we go inside, let's take a look at the door wreath, shall we?

This beauty was a purchase from our local boy scout troupe. If you drive around our neighborhood, you'll see lots of these on people's doors. The only difference is they came with a bright red bow, which did not go with my decor. So, I simply removed it from the wire and strung on some more of my $1 spot ornaments on for consistency. Love it!

Oh, hello! Welcome to my home. Let's go upstairs....would you like a mint? (This is so fun...)

This little glass jar is on top of my staircase.

I found this mercury candle holder for 50% off at Michael's! Run! There are still tons of these bad boys! This one was $3!! I bought another one but guess who broke it as soon as we got home?? (No! Not me!) My little boy. My precious, cantankerous little boy. Oh, I just want to squeeze him! Grrrrrrrrrr.

Now, let's check out the kitchen. On our kitchen table you'll find this lovely thrift store bowl full of some more colorful Christmas candy (it does make for good decoration, but it also makes for good snacking....)

Above the window, you'll find our simple ribbon and ornament decoration. These ornaments are also from the $1 spot at Target.

The kitchen window sill even got some decor, with more bright mint candy and our Santa snowglobes.

We added some more $1 spot ornaments to the apothecary jars. Such a fun and cheap way to brighten up a room!

Ok, that's it for now. Come back soon for Christmas tours of the dining and living rooms. Have a great weekend ya'll!

  12. Aaaah, Meg. It all look so lovely! I love the way that you decorated the outside especially. I haven't done that (apart from a wreath on the door) but next year, hopefully I will. This year, our driveway is too much of a hideous mess. It needs a total overhaul.

I really love the colours that you've used to pain the outside of your house. They're right up my street!

Thank you for the tour - I loved it! Now...where do I leave my tip!!!!?
