I finally decorated for Halloween.
I'm not a huge fan of decorating for Halloween. I'm not sure why. I'm not a huge fan of horror movies, either. Does that correlate?
Anyway, I decided to pull out our one box of Halloween decorations and the kids and I had a fun afternoon of setting everything up.
Since our tree had already received a make-over with the pumpkins, we decided to hang last years ghosts in the house, banner style....
So, here's my lonely Halloween table. It's the only "scary" decorations in the house. I know, we're very scary over here. Beware!
Like these pumpkins? I made them a few years back with a friend. I love the spools (stems) and the hand stitching on them. The one in front looks a little worried....
Ok, so here's our Halloween candy bowl. Full of pinecones. Yeah, I know. We don't break out the Halloween candy until the actual day, because, as we all know, I'm helpless to resist sugar. HELPLESS. I can't be held accountable for my actions if sweets are placed in front of me. I've come to accept that bout myself. And I'm at peace with it.
Isn't this fun? The sterling silver goblet I got at an antique store in Amarillo years ago. It was called "cowboy china." I love it!
I'm not sure why I'm putting this in here....it's fall-ish, so I guess it counts as decoration.
OK, I've had lots of fun with this little table. At first, we just had the lamp on it, but I've been adding small things a little bit at a time. I like it. It's growing on me. It may change a bit more, but for now....it stays.
This is my pumpkin we used to hang on the front door, but I replaced with my burlap wreath. It now has a nice little home in our dining room window.
