Thrifty Fall Projects

Guess what I did today?

I finally made some fall decor for my home!

It truly is a miracle.

And....all of my projects were less than $5! It's true!

Want to see some before & afters? I thought so!

First, here are my $1 store pumpkins. They are super-duper-cheap. I mean, I think paying $1 for each of them was way over priced. But, I just wanted to try something with them. So, I bought them. I know. Next time, I'll find a better bargain for super cheap pumpkins. Promise.

I used my metallic aluminum spray paint and covered up the ugly plastic orange. Not bad....

Next, I found these cute mini wreaths at Goodwill for $.99 each. They were perfect for a couple of projects I had in mind. (The bag is full of mini clothes line pins. For a different project).

For one mini wreath, I used my $1 store fall leaves and hot-glued them around the wreath. It's the perfect size for my wreath stand!

For the other mini wreath, I spray painted it with heirloom white, and then took some sandpaper to it to age it up a bit. I used my burlap ribbon and thought it looked pretty good. The less is more approach, right?

Then, I found this table at GW for $5! Cheap, right? I'm planning on transforming it into a bench. Stay tuned....

Also, here is my little fall decor for my dining room table.

(Note to self...next time clean hurricane glass before photo shoot....)

The glass candlesticks are GW finds from ages ago. I made the hurricane from $1 store finds. The pillar candle with jute wrapped around it is from under my bathroom sink (well, the candle was. I added the jute after I found it). The leaves in the hurricane are from $1 store as well.

This leaf vine is from the $1 store, too. Just wrapped it around my dining room chandelier.

This eggplant candle I found under my sink as well. I used some $1 store ribbon to dress it up. I love the deep purples of fall and wanted to incorporate it somehow. (Ok, you found me out. I found a purple candle! FOUND. This was a total accident! The ribbon is supposed to hide the color! But...that little line about the purples worked out well, right?)

Pine cones I already had....I think they are cute.

These were all fun projects and for the $$$ they are fitting my decor just fine!

*Please see my sidebar for fun parties I join during the week.

Have a great day!
