Make your own Tray

I have magazines all over the place. Are you like me? Do you love to get magazines, but then never find the time to read them? I always have the intention, though, thus the reason they are all over the place. I decided to try and make a tray where I could store all these magazines. Something to help organize the chaos that is my life.

I went to Good Will and picked up this old print for $3. Cute, right? I love teddy bears, too. ;)

I liked this because the edges came up a good amount and would hold the magazines pretty well inside the "tray."

I also love the remnants bin and JoAnn's. LOVE it. I picked up all of this fabric....

For $10. Yes, that's right---$10!

I'm sorry I don't have pics of the process, but here's how it generally went.

Step 1: Take the frame apart and spray paint with desired color (mine was just plain white).
Step 2. Use the cardboard backing and your adhesive spray (or hot glue) to adhere your fabric (or paper). I chose the black and white fabric.
Step 3. Distress your frame.
Step 4: Get your drawer pulls and attach them to the sides of your frame.

I got to use my mighty drill for this step. Nice.

Step 5. Re-attach the class and the fabric covered backing o the frame.
Step 6: Hot glue some felt to the back of the frame to protect the surface of the table.

I love it! It turned out so cute and I love the fabric. Paper would have worked well, since the glass protects the surface.

That's the extent of my photo shoot skills. I'm working on 'em.
