Bench Transformation

Recently, I was able to help a friend paint a bench she scored at the thrift store for $10. It began as a brown bench, with hearts painted all over it. She had a vision to see it a nice, bright color, with distressing so she could make it into a window seat or even a bookshelf.

We sanded it down and gave it a nice primer coat of white. After that dried, we used our heirloom white to give it a nice coat.

And once that dried, we started distressing by sanding down the corners, edges and some of the seat and sides. She loved it and I was so glad we were able to finish a project for her!
