Another Lamp Re-do

Some of you may remember this little post about my quest to find new lamps for my master bedroom....some of you may even remember this post about when I failed abominably. Well, I decided to give it another go and went off to Goodwill today.

I found this little gem with the blue sticker....which meant I paid a whopping $1.50 for it. (Look, it even came with a light bulb...excellent!)

Took it home and gave it a nice coat of ORB. Niiiiice. Have to sand down the drips and spray a couple of coats, but it looks good to me!

Got it to my master BR and guess what? It's so much shorter than the other lamp! Not that it really bothers me, since the lines are totally different as well, but I knew it would bother the hubby....so, I improvised....

What do you think? I think I may have to spruce up the books a bit...have some fun ideas for that and will show you in the future. Also, I think tassels on the lamps may be fun. What do you think? Too much? Or GO FOR IT?!?

  2. I have had to do the very same thing with a lamp. Had to hike it up a bit on some books. I think a tag/tassel would look cute on it!
