Easter Pillows - Day 3 of The Great Kid Week

We were perusing the great store of Marshall's the other day....and came upon these tea/dish towels. They were only $2 each! A steal! So, I grabbed up a few.

Hmmm....what should I do with them? They are so cute, but they don't really match my kitchen decor....and I don't really have anything up for Easter this year (so sad....maybe next year!). Finally, I thought my kids would enjoy something....and this is what I came up with!

Some extra fabric helped....from THIS previous project (Hi Patricia!)....

And some fancy (ok, ok, not really) sewing came into play...wish I could post the step by step instructions, but I just sort of made it up as I went along!

A fun little flap on the back...

Luckily, I had some batting handy for another project coming up....and voila!

Some comfy pillows for my girls. My poor son....no pillows for him....I don't think he'll really mind, though...he's tough. :)

  9. How cute - your sewing skills are way better than mine - which are a big fat zero!! Love that idea - may have to talk mom into sewing some for me for a little color next year!

Thanks for joining me in my Easter Decor Day -
Happy Easter to you and yours!
