Fork Frames/Recipe Holder

I wish I had some before pictures, but I forgot! I saw this idea on a blog (and if anyone remembers which blog, please let me know and I'll give credit where credit is due!)

The frames and silverware I found at the thrift store and the paper I found at the $1 store (one of my favorite places of all time).

To make it into a recipe holder, simply bend the fork prongs up (I used pliers and a lot of arm muscle to do this, but there might be an easier way). I'm planning on using these as gifts for some wonderful sisters-in-law. (Sorry for the glare!)

  1. That is a very creative idea!
Another use for the old silver is spoon rings. My DH's granddaughter begged for a spoon ring this year for her 16th birthday. I don't know how you'd cut it off & buff the rough end but I'm sure it can be done.
